Gym Etiquette

1. Safety First:

a. If you are unsure of how to use a piece of equipment, don’t use it at all until your trainer gives you the proper instruction.

b. Likewise, do not try to instruction another member on how to use a piece of equipment if you are not a trainer.

c. Never walk in front of or behind a lifter without their permission while they are performing a lift.

d. Likewise, do not talk to a lifter while they are lifting and do not talk to anyone while you are lifting.

e. Return equipment to its proper place when you have finished with it.

f. Consolidate your stuff so that you or someone else won’t trip over it.

g. Always ask for a spot when you need one; Avoid lifts you need a spot for if you are alone.

h. Please make other plans for your children when you come to the gym. The gym is an extremely dangerous place for children.

i. Always know where the Emergency Phone, First Aid Kit, AED and CPR equipment are located.

2. Please bring shoes that you only wear in the gym and remove your street shoes at the door.

3. Please wash your hands before and after you work out especially during cold season.

4. Please respect other members by quietly warming up or cooling down if you arrive early for your time or stay late afterwards.

5. If more than one person is working out in the gym during open gym hours, please work together to come to a type and level of music acceptable to everyone.

6. Please avoid using your cell phone unless it is absolutely necessary. If it is, please step outside or over by the bathroom while others are lifting.
